What personal information do we collect?
Information you send us
When you request a valuation we collect your name, work email, company, company website, role, company situation, the data types and volumes you describe, how you heard about us, and the estimate from our calculator if you used it.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard server logs when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and secure the site.
The calculator
The company data value calculator runs in your browser. Its inputs are not sent to us unless you submit the valuation request form; the result is kept in your browser’s session storage so the form can include it, and is cleared when you close the tab.
How do we use personal information?
- To reply to your valuation request and discuss a possible engagement.
- To prepare a valuation and, if you engage us, to deliver our services.
- To understand which channels bring visitors, using the “how did you hear about us” answer.
- To secure the site and meet legal obligations.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running a secure website.
Who do we share it with?
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with service providers that host the site and process form submissions for us, under contract, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires. We do not pass your contact details to data buyers without your permission.
How long do we keep it?
We keep valuation requests for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case our client agreement sets the period. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period under its own policies.
What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict our use of it, to receive a copy, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the rights to know, delete and correct, and to not be discriminated against for using them. To exercise any right, email Privacy email to confirm; we will verify your request and reply within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Do we use cookies?
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses your browser’s session storage only to carry a calculator estimate into the request form, as described above.
Company data you license through us
Records a client company shares with us for valuation, de-identification or licensing are handled under that company’s written agreement with us, not under this notice. Personal information in those records is removed or replaced before any buyer receives them.
